anyway jw mommy wakes up one night to find little baby dub sitting inside the fish tank with most of the water taken out and there was some kind of evil spirit present, mommy dub yells out jemimas name and breaks free with baby dub.
evil mother in law is asked to leave their happy home.

Talking with her from the same book she's studying will allow you to discuss precise topics, in the order that she's studying them. Asuming that you have your own religious beliefs, I wouldn't try to swap one against the other but I would stay on the ground of common sense. I would use a few well chosen quotationss from the WTS that carry a Knock out power (Behemoth and Leviathan being locomotives, the 1200 furlongs, etc.). That should move her to ask, in return, her study conductor, and with one stone you'll strike twice. Good real size exercise.
tis the season, so to speak.. this is the time of year the darkness descends like a proclamation of doom, and the light retreats like a rank and filer encountering an actual, thinking, reasoning person during the failed misery.. i don't exactly operate at a hundred percent in the dark and cold, ironic considering where i live.. so one day, we have a relatively clear parking pad, and the next we get a ton of white shit dumped on us.. such lovely fun, shoveling all the global warming from the drive.. got to take the truck out and let it strut it's stuff, that bad ol' aposta-truck was in it's element and unstoppable.

Nice to hear of you. I don't read all threads but I noticed your quietness, hope you pass over the bleak season right. If it can be of solace, the weather over here is not snowy (only one or two days a year under those oceanic climates) but today it's all gail, rain and wind, the kind not to leave a dog outdoors.
About Xmas, birthdays, etc. as a still JW I tend to be less and less dogmatic on that subject, as my JW wife points out with satisfaction (a good thing we are on the same wavelength) and I allowed my daughter to attend yesterday evening the birthday party that her classmates organized for her 16th aniversary. I believe she enjoyed it thoroughly, that's a landmark in a kid's year. I wonder, why being christian should force us to shun simple joys, I don't feel the urge to singularize, me bad JW. As for Xmas, I just see it, together with New year, as an opportunity to enjoy a family gathering.

i thought that after some 30 years as a jw the wts's teaching is so familiar that i can hardly find anything new in assembly talks, which may be the reason why, as many attendants do, i gently noze down and opening an eye from time to time is enough to catch up the drift of an all too well known talk.
still, i've been genuinely surprised last sunday by a point a bethel visitor rose in one of the p.m talks, namely that jws are not advised to send their kids to school until an age when he (she) can take a personal stand re.

Yes, the point is probably not that new, still when I spotlighted it in later conversations after the assembly, my wife (Who has been in a JW family since age 5), other JWs and myself seemed not to remember that it had been said so conclusively previously. That tells a lot about the self censorship that JWs exert on their thoughts when they don't want to come to terms with a problem. They just shove it aside in the back of their minds, until of course it rises up back to the surface when the JW becomes ready for full awareness.

I've always been baffled by bethelites' talks and prayers. They are just so disconnected from reality, whether they give advice on how to rise children or they pray to Jehovah that brothers in poor countries may "keep their integrity" where they would rather need food, cloth and shelter.
Taking a stand in order to stick out like a sore thumb is more important to one's 'eternal life'.
that's a point ! training children to singularize so that they will be identified as JWs, will provide fodder for persecution or even for martyrdom and make the JW religion known and look holy. Whether one talks about you in good or in bad doesn't matter, provided one talks about you.

We are clearly eye witnessing renewed coordinated moves on the part of the WTS to isolate JWs and their families from outside influences.

That's not exactly the case in France, where by and large nursery schools are run by municipalities, like primary schools, unless they are part of private schools (which can be religious or not)

So, that talk wasn't given just by chance, it fits with the dec 15 WT article, it is part of the plan to regain control over the -young-flock and shield it from Satan snares.

Xmas, birthdays, etc. He mentioned age 6, which is when school becomes compulsory in France.
I couldn't believe that they now advise against sending our kids to nursery school, which over here starts from age 2. Was it a new point or was it that I hadn't paid attention previously, or that I just hadn't wanted to dwell on so ludicrous a recommendation.
Anyway, I bet nobody will care much about this WT recommendation and JW's kids will keep on flocking into nursery schools as they always did. As if advising against upper education wasn't enough.
What was the reason the speaker gave for this WT stand ? nowadays chidren are tomorrow's congregations (which really means that the WTS is not too sure about new input through preaching work), so children should rather be enlisted in the theocratic school at age 4 ! Are they so worried about the future of the organization that they have to draft infants for the sacred service ?

Actually it's quite easy to lose weight, I've done it 1000 times. If only we hadn't all these parties at the office when other papy boomers are celebrating their going to retirement. At the end of each one of those I firmly resolve to start dieting , and then another party pops up. Let's keep courage and hang in there !
i'm still a nominal jw, get literature at the hall, use the premises (power, heating etc.
) so that i feel that i have to bring a financial contribution to the organization.
however, i find the wts's constant calling for money, especially at this time of the year, rather irritating and as far as i'm concerned, it is utterly counter-productive since i think that i will donate less this year than in previous years.
Of course, there is much more to give than just money, the main point is that once we widen our scope of interest outside the WTS, we can find plenty of opportunities to help without the ulterior motive of orientating our good deeds toward "making disciples" . Our new attitude is therefore more unselfish and, in the end, more gratifying.
